The low-voltage M25PE family of SPI-standard pin-out Serial Flash memories are aimed at both data and parameter storage. A key benefit of the M25PE family is to maintain continuity with serial EEPROMs in pin-out, allowing flexible upgradeability. The devices offer high flexibility; fine granularity of 256-byte page write, allowing fast-changing data to be stored with minimum system overhead; fast read throughput; erase by block (64KB); and a flexible command architecture. In addition, a hardware protection of the top 64KB memory sector is provided. Other features such as dedicated device signature, bulk erase instruction, and specific write protection complete the offering. The M25PE devices are accessed through a standard SPI bus with an enhanced clock speed of 25MHz for data transfer. They operate on a 2.7 to 3.6V supply voltage. All M25PE densities are also available in the very thin 5x6mm 8-pin MLP (Micro Leadframe Package).
