The analogue magnetic rotary encoder AS5043 provides both analogue and a 10-bit digital position information. Depending on the angular range settings, the step size of the analogue output may vary from 0.35 to 0.09 degrees. In addition, the user can select the IC for optimised speed or accuracy. The daisy chain mode allows the connection of several devices over a two-wire bus, and the chip operates at either 3.3 or 5V. With operating temperature ranging from -40 to +125°C, the component comes in a lead-free SSOP 16 package (5.3 x 6.2 mm).
