Measuring 120x73x20mm, the ACR120 is a contactless reader and writer which supports ISO 14443 and Mifare cards operating at 13.56MHz. Easy to integrate into existing datacollection applications such as portable terminals, ticketing or access control, the unit has an optional built-in contact smart-card slot which helps configuring in different ways to suit the customer's preference. The unit also integrates an etched-PCB antenna, and reading range is up to 5cm depending on the contactless tag. The ACR120 operates from a 5-V regulated supply voltage, draws 80mA of current, and features a status LED indicator. An RS232 serial interface allows a connection to the COM1/COM2 port of a PC or a laptop.
