Get your hands on two of Chomerics' sample kits packed with dozens of different types of thermally conductive compounds and EMI shielding tapes and gaskets. Delivered in rugged plastic boxes, the shielding kit and thermal kit, worth 290 and 180 euros respectively, highlight the company's solutions in these fields. Three pairs of such kits are on offer. In the thermal sample kit, strips of Thermflow phase-change material combine the consistency of elastomeric pads with the low thermal impedance of thermal grease. Different versions of Thermattach double-sided adhesive tapes replace mechanical fasteners for bonding heat sinks to ceramic or metal packages. Samples of Therm-a-gap compound provide a conformal, thermally conductive gap filler made of an ultra-soft silicone elastomer filled with ceramic particles. The thermal phase-change non-curing greases included contain small, performance-enhancing conductive particles that melt at 62ºC, resulting in a minimal bond line and high thermal conduction. The fiberglass reinforced Cho-Therm series of thermally conductive interface insulators combine a silicone binder with a boron nitride or aluminium oxide filler to deliver very low thermal impedances. The kit is completed by T-Wing and C-Wing peel-and-stick heat spreaders, using copper and electrically non-conductive ceramic, respectively.The EMI sample kit features strips of Cho-Foil tapes, available in copper, aluminium, or tinned copper foil backed with a highly conductive pressuresensitive adhesive. Many variants of Softshield samples are covered, including conductive fabric over foam, knitted wire over foam, or multi-planar EMI gaskets. All-metal Mesh Strip compressible gaskets come in rectangular or round cross sections. Spring-Line beryllium copper gaskets offer EMI shielding with spring-finger wiping and low closure force properties. The Cho-Mask conductive foil tape consists of a polyester paint mask covering a layer of tin-plated copper foil. Various ferrites, grground straps, and a honeycomb vent complete this kit.
