The SSD2802 chip is a mobileindustry-processor-interface (MIPI) master bridge. Connected to the bus of an application processor, and receiving display data from that processor, the IC is capable of driving a TFT LCD module with a MIPI-compliant receiver, via a serial bus. With transmission rates up to 200Mbit/s, the chip supports video content at a QVGA resolution of 30 frames per second and half-VGA at 60 frames per second. It provides seamless connectivity for displays in mobile devices, converting the commonly used MCU or RGB parallel display interface to a 4-line high-speed serial MIPI-compliant interface.
