The RKitPSTR750 professional kit from Raisonance was developed in collaboration with STMicroelectronics to offer a complete, flexible, and affordable software- and hardware-development solution for STR7 (ARM7-based) applications. In this edition, EPN has three kits worth 750 Euros each to give away. The professional kit provides real-time in-circuit debugging and programming capabilities with all the features needed to allow developers to create, build, and debug ST's MCU-based systems. It includes one RLink-Pro in-circuit debugger and programmer as a stand-alone tool, one REva motherboard (with attached RLink), one REva daughterboard and RKit-STR7 software tools with RIDE and RFlasher. RLink-Pro is a USB-to-JTAG-interface device that allows programming and debugging without limitation of various microcontrollers, including all the STR7 MCUs supported by RKit-STR7. It also supports STR9, ST7 and uPSD MCUs. The REva board is a modular evaluation platform that consists of a generic motherboard with interchangeable daughterboards supporting several target STR7 MCUs. Key characteristics encompass digital and analogue I/O-evaluation features including on-board LEDs, buttons, switches, external analogue connector, temperature sensor and potentiometer. It is completed with an on-board I2C EEPROM and bus-extension connector, an on-board RS232 driver and a DB9 connector, as well as SPI, CAN and USB connections (depending on the target device). The software toolchain RKit-STR7 includes GNU tools (C compiler, assembler, linker) and the Raisonance simulator/debugger, all integrated into RIDE for the best ease of use.
