The MAX3580 is a zero-IF (ZIF) direct-conversion TV tuner for digital-video-broadcasting-terrestrial (DVB-T) applications. By using a unique ZIF architecture and integrating an RF-tracking filter, this tuner eliminates external, discrete filtering components and the expensive SAW filter required by older, IF-based tuners. Operating from a single 3.3V supply and consuming a low 650mW of power, the MAX3580 is well-suited for USB-stick, automotive, and infotainment applications. It comes in a 5x5mm, 32-pin TQFN package with an exposed paddle, fully specified to operate over the -40 to +85°C extended temperature range.
