The MLX12115 NFC/13.56MHz chip is a low-power-consumption device that supports portable and fixed reader designs requiring tight footprint constraints. With the addition of a micro-processor, crystal and a few passive components, a fully functioning reader can be easily developed. The MLX12115 supports multiple RF air interfaces, such as Tag-it transponder, ISO15693 and ISO14443A, and opens with the direct mode where data can be passed directly to a transponder. The chip is offered in a -40 to +85°C version and in the industry-standard SSOP20 pin package for surface-mount manufacturing.
