Targeted at rack-mounted industrial and telecommunication designs, where height is restricted, are the NTH series of 2W dual isolated output DC/DC converters. The surface mount devices have a footprint of just 3.16cm2, and are available with input voltages of either 5V or 12V. The output options are 5V, 9V, 12V or 15V, and in all cases the isolation between input and output is rated at 1kVDC. Its wide temperature range allows the device to deliver 2W performance between -40 and 85¡C without a heatsink.
