Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL) has announced the addition of Model 4328 ProD high performance data acquisition and strain gage interface board to its family of CellMite products. The CellMite ProD is suitable for embedded applications that require high speed/high accuracy analogue and digital data acquisition and is also designed for ruggedised applications, operating from -40°C to +85°C. The unit features dual 24bit independent strain gage channels with simultaneous sampling at 15Ksamples/s that can also be configured as quad 24bit strain gage channels sampled at 5Ksamples/s. This unit features 12 additional 12bit analogue input channels with a throughput of 1Msamples/s. Digital data acquisition is also supported with 64bits of simultaneously sampled digital inputs that can be sampled at 20Msample/s.
The unit has four 16bit high performance analogue output channels with user specified scaling and offset, with a range of +/-10V. Direct PC or network communication is supported by USB, RS232, RS485 and Ethernet data channels. The communication channels are optically isolated in order to minimise system ground loops. For applications requiring on-board data storage, the unit features 1Mword of onboard memory along with an SD card slot for additional bulk data storage. The unit also supports dual quadrature encoder or pulsed inputs often used for measuring rotational position or velocity and features an input voltage range of 10V DC to 36V DC, along with 3kV DC isolation.
