Solar powered mobile phone features waterproof housing

A Japanese mobile phone company, KDDI, is introducing a solar-powered mobile phone incorporating Sharp's battery. The battery is developed in such a way that 80% of it can be recharged by sunlight. Ten minutes of sunlight is enough to power the phone for a one minute call or sufficient to power the handset in standby mode for two hours. The sunlight storage technology is embedded in the face of the mobile phone. It is also waterproof.
