Antenova has launched its space saving internal FM antenna module for mobile device applications. The FPC (flexible printed circuit) antenna module design enables wireless FM radio reception in mobile handsets without the need for an external headset antenna.
The M10332 is an active antenna module consisting of FM antenna with a matching circuit and LNA (low noise amplifier) in a small 33x5mm laminate base FPC package. The antenna module is capable of receiving FM frequencies from 88 to 108MHz and can be mounted either planar to the host PCB (printed circuit board) or edge mounted for minimum PCB space requirement. A minimum clearance of 2mm between the antenna and the host PCB ground plane is recommended for the best FM signal reception. The module can be easily interfaced to any FM receiver as the LNA output is matched to 50Ohm, and custom impedance can also be provided.
