Standardised interfaces and scalability in the ETM831 system-on-module make it suitable for use with multimedia devices, says Axiomtek. The Intel Atom ETX 3.x-compliant module has a compact 114x95mm footprint. It integrates a high-performance, low-power 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 with 945GSE and ICH7M chipsets to support up to 2Gbytes of high-speed DDR2 system DRAM on a single SODIMM. The Mobile Intel 945GSE Express chipset integrates a graphics media accelerator that provides CRT and single- or dual-channel, 18 or 24bit LVDS. There are four PCI and one 16bit ISA expansion buses. Multiple displays are supported by an LVDS and a VGA-port interface. Plugged into an application-specific system baseboard, the module can be used to reduce development time. It is supplied with advanced connectivity and expansion interfaces, including two SATA, four USB 2.0, one Fast Ethernet, AC'97/HD audio, a PS/2 keyboard/mouse port, two UARTs ports, an FDD/LPT port and an optional IrDA interface. A watchdog timer is also included. The module supports Windows 7, Vista, XP, Embedded Standard, XPe, CE, Linux and QNX.
