XP Power has introduced LCL series of single output chassis mount enclosed AC/DC power supplies. The range comprises 150, 300 and 500W models. The 150W units are convection cooled while the others benefit from an integral cooling fan. These self-contained units require no additional forced airflow. All units come with screw terminals and self-retaining guards.
The series accepts the full universal input voltage of 85V AC to 264V AC without the need for selector switches. The devices do not require any derating at low line and provide the full power across the input range of 90V AC to 264V AC. Each power range provides the nominal output voltages of +12, + 13.5, +15, +24, +27 or +48V DC. The output can be adjusted by +/- 1V of stated output to compensate for cable losses or non-standard voltage requirements.
The series is suitable for a variety of factory automation, process control and light industrial applications and can operate over a wide range of temperature. The 150 and 300W units provide full power without derating from -10° to + 50° C, with the 500W unit providing full power right up to +55°C. All units incorporate protection and control features such as over temperature, over voltage, over current and short circuit. The LCL300 and LCL500 units feature remote on/off control and the LCL500 further incorporates a remote sense function.
The series is fully approved to the safety standards of EN60950-1, UL60950-1 and CSA60950 No 22.2.
