ZF Electronics has launched a range of Cherry magnetic proximity sensors. Developed to meet the requirements of a range of OEM products, these sensors are suitable for rigorous environments, including extreme temperature, humidity, thermal shock and vibration. The MP2007 reed-based magnetic position sensors have aluminium threaded housings, with hermetically sealed contacts. Featuring zero power consumption, the three position sensors in the series are suitable for AC and DC circuits and are RoHS-compliant. The MP200710 SPST-NO has a maximum power rating of 10W, and a maximum switching current of 0.5A. Electrical specifications for the MP200702 SPST-NC and MP200703 SPDT-CO are a power rating of 3W maximum. Switching voltage is 30V AC/30V DC, and maximum switching current is 0.2A. The sensors operate over a temperature range of -40 to +105°C. Suitable for applications requiring resistance to moisture and dirt, they come in a smooth cylindrical plastic housing and feature hermetically sealed contacts for a long life. They are available in a variety of standard contact configurations and feature zero power consumption.
