Omron Electronic Components has introduced a Europe-based cable harnessing service covering its range of relay, switch and connector products.
With the introduction of local assembly for harnesses, the company can offer fast turnaround on samples and produce volume quantities to the relevant European standards.
The new service for relays and switches complements the company's European Switch Engineering Centre, which offers a full customisation service on the company's detection switches. Staffed by a specialist engineering resource from the company's Japanese switch factories as well as the European market, the centre now has the capability to manufacture prototypes of custom products designed for European customers, as well as design products from scratch. This is in addition to offering modifications ranging from the development of an alternative lever, to redesign of the case, terminals or wiring harness where the customer and the volume permit.
