Xalyo Systems has released XS-AMC-WP3C, an integrated and modular AMC (advanced mezzanine card) based on Wintegra's WinPath3 network processor. The AMC concept offers a mix of high-end IP and ATM transport services in a compact form factor. The card's transport protocol processing performance and feature set are suitable for multi-service access and Backhaul aggregation designs.

The card supports a range of I/O and processing daughter cards such as Gigabit Ethernet, 10G Ethernet, channelised and concatenated STM-1/STM-4, E1/T1, high-performance control processors such as the PowerQUICC III, FPGA, DSP or ASIC-based LTE or WiMAX Baseband and PHY. The card is available as a standalone card or bundled with multiple daughter cards. Developers can design their own I/O or processing card to add onto the card.

The card's design provides equipment manufacturers a compact and flexible platform for scalable, modular base station designs. The modular AMC concept leverages Wintegra's comprehensive LTE Framework software while providing protocol processing capabilities suitable for multi-standard transport interface designs.

WinPath3 incorporates Gigabit Ethernet, XAUI, Serial RapidIO and PCI Express SERDES, multi-core MIPS processor and multi-core, multi-threaded protocol processing engines. The card's modular architecture and off-the-shelf software allows for products implementing new functionality around WinPath3. Compliant with PICMG   AMC.0, AMC.1, AMC.2 and AMC.4, the card can be used on AdvancedTCA, MicroTCA and proprietary platforms.
