Axiomtek's new STX88831 STX system-on-module integrates a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor N270 with Intel 945GSE and ICH7M chipsets. The module delivers high performance-per-watt for communication, healthcare, automation, and transportation applications, claims the company. The Intel 945GSE Express chipset integrates an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 that delivers graphics with dual-view displays. The module supports up to 2Gbyte of high-speed DDR2 system DRAM on a single SODIMM. The module is suitable for embedded applications with customised demands and is also claimed to offer a low total cost of ownership. There are also four PCI and one 16bit ISA expansion buses on the STX-compliant interface. The module also features rich I/O interfaces, including one SATA, four USB 2.0, one fast Ethernet, VGA, 18/24bit LVDS, 24bit TTL LCD, AC-link audio, PS/2 keyboard/mouse port, two UART ports, FDD, LPT port, and IrDA interface (optional). The module supports Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows Embedded Standard, Windows XPe, Windows CE, Linux as well as QNX.
