The TLH-2450 coin-size lithium thionyl chloride battery from Tadirian Batteries operates in a wide temperature range of -55 to +125°C for use in medical equipment. The battery has a diameter of 24.5mm, and is 6.2mm high. It is a compact 3.6V cell with 0.55Ah capacity at 0.5mA. The battery has two solder pins and is UL recognised and considered non-hazardous in transport. The battery has been qualified for RFID asset tracking tags in medical applications. It can withstand the 135°C heat associated with standard autoclave cycles. Such RFID tags are designed to work continuously for 500 steam-sterilisation cycles. The battery supports continuous remote monitoring throughout the sterilisation process.
