A remote control system from Radiometrix, the KDEC code-hopping receiver, uses a 32bit encrypted hop-code that changes continuously and is encrypted using 64bit manufacturer code and 28bit serial number for security. The decoder has a standard frequency of 433.92MHz. It is optimised for use with the KFX2 key-fob transmitters or KTX2 transmitter modules. Using the decoder, combined with these modules, additional parts are not required for the security remote control. The erasable secure learn function allows up to 16 different transmitters to be remembered. When optimised for the five-button KFX2 transmitter, it is not possible to activate more than one output per transmission and all five of the KDEC's 250V 8A relay outputs can be individually activated. Alternatively, when optimised for use with the KTX2, the KDEC has simple output functionality. New function-codes are fed to the relays as they are received. Momentary/latched relay action is also selected by means of a jumper link on the PCB. LED based visual indicators show which relays are in operation. The receiver is powered by a 9 to 16V DC supply. It is suitable for applications such as status reporting/monitoring secure systems.
