Kemtron will be exhibiting its range of RFI/EMI shielding gaskets and components at Munich. The range includes elastomers, silicon and fluoro silicons loaded with conductive particles such as silver plated copper, silver plated aluminium and nickel coated graphite. The elastomers can be extruded in various gasket profiles, moulded as components or sheet for die cutting. Knitted wire mesh gasket strip is available in monel, tin-plated copper clad steel, stainless steel or aluminium. There will also be EMI shielded honeycomb vent panels in aluminium or steel, for maintaining air flow into an electronics enclosure while still ensuring EMC integrity. The standard honeycomb vent panel is constructed from two layers of aluminium honeycomb set at 90° to each other and set in an extruded aluminium frame. To achieve optimum RF attenuation the overall cell thickness to cell diameter ratio needs to be 4:1. The company also offers single layer styles where lower levels of shielding performance versus reduced thickness are required. Visitors will also see conductive fabric over foam gasket strip, beryllium copper finger strips and shielded optical windows for display devices.
