Laird Technologies has announced the release of its SAH24-120-12 horizontally polarised sector antenna. The antenna operates in the 2400 to 2500MHz band with a 13dBi gain and 120° expanded beamwidth HPOL (horizontal polarisation). HPOL increases the range of the antenna over flat surfaces and minimises VPOL (vertically polarised) signals produced by electrical and wireless devices by cancelling out those VPOL signals. Optimised for low cross-polarisation and low sidelobes, the antenna is useful in spectrally crowded areas. The antenna is designed for 2.4GHz ISM band applications, 802.11 wireless systems, WLAN access points, wireless broadband systems, and wireless Internet.
