With the SPVQ7 series, Alps Electric Europe offers waterproof detector switches for automotive applications. The horizontally actuated switches are of 14.7x5.4x 6.7mm and have a long operating life of 300,000 switching cycles. The one-pole two-position or one-pole one-position switches are rated for switching currents of 0.1A at 12V DC or 50µA at 5V DC respectively. Operating force accounts for 1±0.5N. Switches can be mounted directly on a circuit board or are equipped with solder terminals. Operating temperatures are -40 to +85°C. Other specifications include a maximum initial contact resistance of 500mΩ, an insulation resistance higher than 100MΩ at 500V, and a voltage proof of up to 500V AC for one minute.
