Molex has introduced the Brad IO-Device protocol development kit version 2.2 for PROFINET that enables OEMs to develop and market their own branded PROFINET IO devices. Fully-compliant with PROFINET IO version 2.2 specifications, the Molex protocol stack supports conformance Class-B and has already been integrated on customer system platforms and successfully PNO-certified by the PROFIBUS user organisation.
The kit consists of a CD ROM including ANSI ‘C' source code, sample applications with source code, and a valuable user manual that includes the complete application interface documentation and the step-by-step instructions on how to port the stack.
The stack has been ported to the CPUs Intel x86, ARM 7/9, Motorola Power PC, and Innovasic FIDO. The stack supports the Win32, VxWorks, QNX, Linux, eCos, and ThreadX operating systems.
