Antenova recently announced the M10372 GPS RADIONOVA, a planar mount GPS radio antenna module having a SiRFstarIV GPS chipset with its antenna technology in a compact package. The product is suited for embedded GPS, machine-to-machine and mobile device applications such as personal navigation devices, automatic vehicle locators, trackers and portable media players.
All front-end components come in a 29x13x4.7mm single laminated base module, providing a complete GPS receiver for maximum performance. It operates on a single 1.8V positive bias supply with low power consumption features and power modes for greater power saving. It is supported by the SiRF stand-alone software and is compatible with UART, SPI and I2C host processor interfaces. The module can also incorporate a switch for optional active antenna connection.
