Kontron has announced the BGA version of its embedded Mini-ITX motherboard, the KT690/mITX (BGA). The board is supplied with AMD's single core Sempron 210U or dual core Turion Neo X2 L325 processors, and eight different processors for customisation. The board is designed for the temperature range of 0 to +60°C, and includes solid capacitators for long-term stability. It is suitable for embedded applications in gaming, digital signage, POS/POI, medical technology and industrial and panel PCs. The integrated ATI Radeon X1250 graphics processor allows two displays to operate independently. For VGA, the maximum resolution is 2048x1536pixels and it is 1920x1200pixels for LVDS and DVI-D. Also available are low profile PCI-Express add-on cards for extra DVIs or HDMIs. For slot machines or medical PCs, a Trusted Platform Module is also available. Customised extensions can be implemented through the PCIe x8, the mini PCI Express and the PCI slot. There are two Gigabit Ethernet connections via a dedicated Ethernet controller, 10 USB 2.0, two PS2 for mouse and keyboard, one parallel port, two RS232 and an eight-channel GPIO. The device also features four SATA 150/300 with RAID 0/1/10 and one ATA133. 7.1 HD audio.
