Eight single gate logic functions in the miniature 6pin DFN1010 package have been released by Diodes. Measuring 1x1mm with an off-board height of 0.4mm, the additions to the 74LVC1Gxx family are suitable for small handheld devices including mobile phones, satellite navigation systems and tablet computers. The range includes three-input NAND and three-input AND gates and four configurable multi-function gates providing a choice of up to seven different logic functions each. A Schmitt trigger inverter and Schmitt trigger buffer are also available in SOT packaging. The devices' operating voltage range of 1.65 to 5.5V makes them suitable for traditional 5V as well as portable battery applications. Powered down, the devices' output circuitry is automatically disabled to prevent backflow current and to ensure signal isolation.
