Vishay Intertechnology has launched two IHLP low-profile, high-current inductors in the 1212 case size. The IHLP-1212AB-11 and IHLP-1212AE-11 offer a 3x3.6mm footprint with low profiles of 1.2mm and 1.5mm, respectively. With a maximum 1MHz frequency and standard inductance values from 0.22µH through 1µH, both devices serve as high-performing, space- and power-saving products for voltage regulator module and DC/DC converter applications in products such as mobile devices, notebooks, desktop computers, graphics cards, portable gaming devices, personal navigation systems, personal multimedia devices, and automotive systems; low-profile, high-current power supplies and point of load converters; distributed power systems; and FPGAs. The IHLP-1212AB-11 offers an inductance range from 0.22 to 0.56µH, a saturation current range from 6.7 to 9.3A, typical DCR from 9.5 to 18.7mΩ, and maximum DCR from 11.4 to 22.0mΩ. The IHLP-1212AE-11 offers an inductance range from 0.22 to 1.0µH, a saturation current range from 5.3 to 9.0A, typical DCR from 9.5 to 29.5mΩ, and maximum DCR from 11.4 to 33.0mΩ. Packaged in an RoHS-compliant, 100% lead-free shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz noise to low levels, the devices operate from -55 to +125°C.
