With the CAN-IB10x/PCIe, IXXAT is treading new paths in the area of field bus interface cards. Based on a modern and modular concept, the passive CAN PCIexpress card is versatile and cost-effective. In addition to the standard version, the device is also available as a low-profile board. The CAN-IB10x/PCIe features up to four CAN channels and can be provided with galvanically isolated interfaces. For the automotive industry, the high-speed CAN channels can be optionally switched to low-speed CAN via a software. Furthermore, the device can be equipped with up to four LIN or K-Line interfaces. For applications which require a high pre-processing performance such as intelligent data handling or active filtering of reception or transmission data onboard, the device can be equipped with a 32-bit microcontroller system.
The modular architecture of the interface board also enables the addition of customised interfaces through piggyback modules. This allows for a flexible usage of the device both in industrial and automotive applications. The company supplies the device
complete with its VCI driver for connection to a PC. The Windows driver supports all interfaces and enables their operation both with customised programs and with the analysis and configuration tools provided. The driver also supports all other PC interfaces offered by the company, enabling the user to easily switch the interface type without any adaptation of the customer application. Additionally, drivers for the real-time Windows extensions RTX and InTime and for Linux are available.
