Analog Devices has introduced the ADMP441iMEMS microphone featuring an I2S (inter-IC sound) digital output providing plug-and-play compatibility for non-handset applications. The microphone also features an extended frequency response from 100Hz to 15kHz to produce balanced and natural sound, signal to noise ratio of 61dBA enabling good sound quality, claims the company. Its high power-supply-rejection ratio of 80dBFS provides good RF and electrical noise rejection, claims the company. This feature makes it suitable for microphone placement and power trace routing. It also uses audio signal processing technologies and is available in a 4.72×3.7×1mm surface-mount package. It is reflow solder compatible with no sensitivity degradation. The product complies with the TIA-920 Telecommunications Telephone Terminal Equipment Transmission Requirements for Wideband Digital Wireline Telephones standard.
