Weidmüller's WM4 photovoltaic plug connectors are available in two versions, field and device, and enclosure connectors. They feature a sincle crimp contact and are TUV- approved and DIN EN 50521-compliant. Designed specifically for photovoltaic systems, the connectors have low contact resistance and ease of handling. They are compatible with most connector mating profiles on the market today, says the company. The single crimp contact connects 4- and 6mm² conductor cross-sections. The plug connectors are rated for current loads of up to 30A. The rated voltage is 1000V DC (IEC). When mated the field connector is sealed to IP 67; the device and enclosure connector is sealed to IP65. Accessories such as dust caps, safety clips and the Multi-Tool PV, for simple and fast connector termination, complement the plug connectors. The dust cap reliably seals female and male plug connectors during transport, whilst the safety clip provides protection against inadvertent disconnection. The company also offers a selection of tools for cables and connection. These include the Multi Stripax PV for stripping PV cables, and the tool CTF PV WM4 for crimping contacts.
