Schroff has released NEMA Type 9 enclosures for housing electronic or electrical equipment in hazardous locations. The enclosures, manufactured by Hoffman, are constructed using 5, 6 and 10mm steel plate, with an ANSI (American National Standards Institute) grey polyester powder-coat finish. Fibre gaskets, which are attached to the covers, ensure that the enclosures provide a dust-tight seal and prevent ingress of combustible particulates. The enclosures come in 14 different sizes with internal dimensions ranging from 203x152x102 to 1219x914x305mm. The enclosures incorporate mounting brackets and either weld nuts or collar studs to support internal panels. The enclosures feature terminal block kits and industrial corrosion inhibitors. They are UL and CSA certified for use in Class II Division 1 and 2 Group E, F and G locations.
