Energy Micro has introduced the Simplicity Studio software console that provides access to all the tools, documentation, and software required for developing systems based on the EFM32 Gecko microcontrollers. The software console is claimed to reduce embedded system development times and controls everything from source code and integrated development environment to microcontroller data sheets. It increases productivity by auto-figuring, in response to user selection of a microcontroller from a drop-down menu. The console offers development support options for the microcontroller and can be customised by using an add or remove function. It allows users to stay up-to-date with the changes affecting their development environment. The console acts as a communication channel between the company and its customers.
