Laird Technologies announced that it has attended the Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) Exchange 2011 trade show that was held in Portland, Oregon. The company showcased the CattronConnect and QC-II remote control system that are designed for locomotives used in the grain industry. The remote control systems are incorporated in locomotives that are being used in grain elevator locations throughout the United States. They allow for a one-person operation by taking the engineer out of the cab of the locomotive and letting the user remotely operate the locomotive when the need for moving the grain cars while loading arises. The GEAPS Exchange 2011 trade show provides its members with information about management and innovation in grain-related industry operations.
