Laird Technologies has released the WPD136M6C-001 full spectrum, multi-band mobile antenna that is used specifically for public safety voice and data communications antenna. The mobile antenna operates in three bands, namely 136 to 174, 380 to 520, and 760 to 870MHz. It features an omnidirectional pattern that is VPOL (vertically polarised) with a 50Ω match. VPOL increases the range of the mobile antenna over hilly terrain and decreases the reception of interfering horizontally polarised UHF (ultra high frequency) and VHF (very high frequency) signals. The antenna also has a maximum power rating of 100W with PTT (push-to-talk) of 30min.
