Wireless device manufacturer gets new name

Tyco Electronics has received an approval from shareholders to change the company name to TE Connectivity. The name change is subject to Swiss regulatory approval, which the company expects to receive by March 2011. The company's CEO, Tom Lynch stated that the name better reflects the products and solutions provided by them. He added that the company wants to expand its reach and drive awareness beyond the existing customer base.
