Harwin announced that it has released a series of screening braid adapters to its C90 industrial range of circular connectors. The company claims that users can benefit from 360º electromagnetic compatibility screening through the screening braid adapters. The braid adapters are RoHS compliant and are available in a variety of sizes. They are manufactured in black zinc nickel-plated aluminium alloy and enable connection of radio frequency interference and EMI screening braid to the company's connector series.
The company offers a variety of termination options. The first option is a constant force spring system that allows termination without special tooling. Alternatively, a Tie-Dex Micro Band system may be used to terminate using application tooling. Both the termination styles provide 360° attachment of the braid ensuring optimum screening performance.
