In order to ensure high performance for complex FPC (flexible printed circuit) sub-assemblies within a system, Yamaichi has designed the LC series FPC testing socket. According to the company, the socket overcomes challenges such as simultaneously dealing in parallel with the FPC production tolerances and bringing the ultra-fine pitches down to 0.3mm. The testing socket is available with specially designed contacts that perform a wiping action, and ensure stable and low contact resistance. The socket's elevator stage prevents the FPC pads from being damaged or scratched, and simultaneously protects the contacts during FPC load and unload operation. The device's clothes-pin mechanism ensures user-friendly operation, claims the company. It also offers discrete wiring, military standard or FPC connector as output standards.
