Power-One has introduced the 1/8 brick SQL48T20033 and the 1/16 brick SSQL48T20033 DC/DC converters that are rated at 20A, and provide an adjustable 3.3V isolated output. The converters are distributed-power open standards alliance compliant, with good thermal performance for use at elevated temperatures or in applications with reduced airflow. The optional baseplate feature is suitable for adverse environmental applications found in 3G and 4G and LTE wireless communication deployments. When thermally mated to a system enclosure, the baseplate facilitates effective heat conduction away from the converter.
The converters have the capability to withstand a 100V input transient for 100ms. The iPWER products meet EN 60950 basic insulation requirements, are UL94 V-0 flammability rated, operate down to no load conditions and start up into pre-biased loads. The products are fully protected against hiccup-mode over-current, output over-voltage, input under-voltage lockout and over-temperature shutdown.
