The non-regulated MIL-COTS BCM bus converters from Vicor are suitable for airborne, naval and land-based applications. The MBCM270F450M270A00 bus converter operates from the 270V DC MIL-STD-704E/F power rail, and uses the company's sine amplitude converter topology to deliver an isolated power of 45V. The bus converter also delivers a power density of more than 800W/in3. Systems that use the MBCM-series bus converters with downstream PRM regulators and VTM current multipliers drive pulsed power loads, radio and satellite communications, computing processors and application-specific integrated circuits. The MBCM270F450M270A00 and the MBCM270F338M235A00 bus converters are available in SMT, through-hole and thermally-enhanced VI BRICK package versions.
