Curtiss-Wright Controls Electronic Systems has introduced the latest addition to its Hybricon series of OpenVPX backplanes. The 024-901-06-CEN1-01 is a 3U, 6-slot VPX (virtual path cross-connect) REDI backplane that simplifies the integration of open standards-based rugged deployed subsystems. OpenVPX profiles supported by the backplane include BKP3-CEN06-15.2.2-3 backplane profile, SLT3-PAY-1F2F2U-14.2.2 payload slot profile, MOD3-PAY-1F2F2U-16.2.2-(all) payload module profile, SLT3-SWH-6F6U-14.4.1 switch slot profile, and MOD3-SWH-6F6U-16.4.1-(all) switch module profile.
The backplane supports data rates up to 6.25Gbaud per VITA 68 and features a 1inch pitch, five payload slots, a data and control switch slot, star fabric topology from payload slots to the switch slot for both the data plane and control plane, and an expansion plane between the payload slots.
