Wago has added two battery modules and one redundancy module to the EPSITRON power supply series. The DIN-rail mount 787-876 battery module has a capacity of 1.2Ah. According to the company, the battery module bridges short power outages that last for several minutes. It incorporates AGM (absorbed glass matt) batteries that deliver short-term output current up to 7.5A. The battery module has a miniature fuse holder that is accessible from outside the module. The 787-871 3.2Ah battery module provides short-term, maximum peak current of 20A. It also incorporates a temperature sensor for controlled and soft battery charging.
Redundancy modules control the output voltage of parallel-connected power supplies, and prevent reverse current and voltages drops when one of the power supplies fails. In addition to the company's 24V DC redundancy module, a 48V DC module provides a load current of 2x20A. The 787-886 redundancy module is also compatible with the company's 48V DC power supplies.
