According to the company, the optical systems are suitable for hostile environments where there is excessive radiation, extremes of temperature and pressure, high levels of vibration and shock or contact with corrosive liquids and gases. For defence and aerospace applications, the company has manufactured compact optical systems that are resistant to dirt and moisture.
The company has developed custom lens systems and through-wall endoscopes for radioactive environments. The lens systems withstand radiation doses of up to 100,000,000rad without degrading the performance. The lenses not only withstand adverse environments but also provide good resolution, large apertures, and good optical designs and coatings.
