The 16bit ISLA216P series of ADCs from Intersil are developed using the company's FemtoCharge technology and feature sample rates up to 250Msamples/s. The ADCs consume power of 786mW and reduce heat dissipation and cooling requirements. They also require 200ms of wake-up recovery time from low power modes. The ADCs are also pin-compatible with all other single-channel ADCs in the family.
According to the company, the ADCs also provide multi-channel support to simplify the design of simultaneously sampled multi-channel systems. The ADCs are suitable for applications such as radar array processing, broadband communications, data acquisition systems, software-defined radios, and communications test equipment. The resistors have an SNR of 75.0dBFS and spurious free dynamic range of 87dBc for a fin of 30MHz. The serial peripheral interface ports of the ADCs allow access to the channel gain and offset adjustments.
