Using Immersion's TouchSense haptics technology, the AT42QT1085 touch controller provides haptics support for buttons, sliders and wheels for 14 haptic effects. According to the company, haptics enables the addition of tactile feedback for applications such as mobile phones, game consoles, navigation devices, cameras, netbooks, appliances, and PCs. The company also claims that the haptics technology incorporates mechanical, electrical, and firmware technologies to deliver efficient, and accurate experiences with digital devices. The QTouch touch detection method is based on the company's charge transfer technology. The touch detection method can replace mechanical buttons, making it suitable for applications requiring any number of buttons, sliders, knobs, and dials.
