Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a family of low-profile, high-current inductors in 0806, 1008, 1111, and 1515 case sizes. The IFSC inductors combine low profiles down to 1mm with high frequency. They have a wide range of inductance values from 0.47 to 47µH and a frequency range of up to 5MHz. According to the company, the five inductors serve as power-saving solutions for DC/DC converter applications in LCD, hard disk drives, digital video cameras, smart phones, tablets, and PDAs. The inductors offer a saturation current range from 0.235 to 5.5A, a DCR (direct current resistance) from 17 to 2367mΩ, and maximum DCR from 22 to 2840mΩ. They are RoHS-compliant and 100% lead-free. The inductors operate between -55 and +125°C, and have good resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration.
