Wolfson Microelectronics has released a series of analogue front end digitiser ICs that can be integrated with digital copiers, scanners and multi-function printers. The WM8232, WM8233, WM8234, and WM8235 digitiser ICs process and digitise the analogue output signals from charge-coupled device sensors or contact image sensors. The company claims that the circuits offer channel and ADC configurations, and allow system designers to choose optimal configurations. This facilitates in high scanning speeds at high scan resolutions. The four units are available in a 56-lead QFN package.
