Suyin has introduced a series of SMT miniature board-to-board connectors that feature a pitch of 0.635mm. The 635007MA male multi-point connector series and the 635008FA female multi-point connector are based on an existing design that uses a pitch of 0.8mm. The connectors are available in a vertical version with 20 to 40 contacts. The sliding contacts used in the mini board-to-board connectors are suitable for use in industrial electronics, mobile communications facilities, telecommunications, and consumer applications. The connector also includes integrated anti-rotation safeguarding through coding on the plastic housing, side positioning posts for exact mounting, and soldering tabs. The contacts are available with selective or full gold plating over 30µm nickel. The connector operates between -40 and +105°C, and the electric contact carrying capacity is rated between 100V DC and 0.5A and 150V DC and 1.5A. Liquid crystal polymer thermoplastic is used for the housing, which is suited for surface mount technology soldering processes. Both versions of the board-to-board connectors are fitted with pick-and-place caps and are supplied in tape and reel packaging.
