The AP98T07GP-HF-3 range of power MOSFETs from Advanced Power Electronics is available in TO-220 package as a pin-to-pin, drop-in replacement and upgrade. The devices have a maximum Rds(on) of 4.5mΩ, delivering high efficiency for DC/DC conversion and motor drives. Key markets for the power MOSFETs include point-of-load DC/DC conversion, synchronous rectifiers, electric vehicles and battery-powered tooling. The AP1RA03GMT-HF-3 on the other hand feature a maximum Rds(on) of 1.59mΩ. Those MOSFETs target applications such as point-of-load DC/DC conversion in motherboards, notebook computers, servers, DC/DC modules, inverters and battery chargers. The low profile, PMPAK package measures 5x6mm and is specially designed for DC/DC applications . It combines an industry-standard SO-8 footprint with a heatsink mounted on the bottom side for, according to the company, improved thermal performance.
