The MS-C71 motherboard from BVM combines scalable computing power for heavy processing tasks, an array of I/O and expansion slots and an integrated graphics capability in a 244x244mm footprint. The mobile CPU and chipset of the motherboard minimises power consumption and reduces the cooling requirements of the system. The motherboard is suitable for kiosks, large-scale displays, industrial control and automation, security and surveillance, gaming, print imaging, and digital signage applications. The SBC is based on the Intel Mobile QM57 Express chipset, and supports the 32nm Intel Core i7, i5, and i3 mobile processors in the rPGA988A socket with up to 8Gbyte of 1066MHz dual-channel memory. HD audio is provided by the Realtek ALC888 HD audio codec. The SBC supports the 24bit dual-channel LVDS and optional DVI video. It features 12 USB2.0, five RS232, one RS232, RS422, and RS485 serial ports, two Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 network ports and a Sony and Philips digital interface audio port. For mass storage, six ATA II 300Mbit/s interfaces are also provided. A programmable 8bit digital I/O interface, real-time clock and watchdog timer are also available as standard features.
